Lucky Lager
|
| |
| In British Columbias first capital city, New Westminster,
a brewery has been in continuous operation since 1879. First established
by James Gibson as the Sapperton Brewery, and then later the Westminster
Brewery. In 1950 the Lucky Lager Brewery Company purchased the operation
and the Lucky Lager neon sign erected over the brewery
became a Vancouver-area landmark. In 1958 Labatt acquired the Lucky
Brewery operations and in Canadas Centennial year, the name was changed
to Labatt. |
