| The Brownrigg family founded the Bavarian Brewery
in St. John’s in 1933. Three decades later, the brewery was purchased
by Labatt and redeveloped. This enabled local brewing of some of Canada’s
most popular beers. Blue Star commands a strong presence in Newfoundland.
