    Program Details:

    Our Global Management Trainee (GMT) Program is about investing in our future talent today. Through an intensive rotational training program that includes immersive, exciting and challenging opportunities right from the start, our program is crafted to launch the careers of our future change-makers. The program typically takes place over the course of 15 months, though this time frame is flexible depending on business needs and external environmental factors. Throughout the program, GMTs gain a 360-degree view of the business while holding roles in both our Supply (Brewery) and Commercial (Sales & Marketing) organizations and have the chance to flex their creative and analytical muscles through project work in their area of interest.

    This 8-month training program supports graduates with an interest in supply chain, operations and problem solving. The program builds participants’ skill sets and accelerates their progression, with trainees receiving an overview of Labatt from a supply chain perspective, visiting breweries and warehouses, and having access to our logistics senior leadership team.

    Program Details:

    The program is designed to fast-track leadership development for experienced professionals who belong to historically underrepresented communities in the workforce. We are looking for ambitious individuals who would like to join an organization with dreams and ambitions as big as their own. Program members will lead a business-critical project within our sales, marketing, supply chain, IT, finance, people or other functional areas. The program includes formal mentorship, interaction with executives, and an extensive leadership development curriculum. Eligible candidates will be required to work in Canada, have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university, as well as 3-5 years of proven experience in problem-solving, working in a collaborative environment, and driving impactful change. They should also have a keen interest and desire to connect with consumers and lead industry growth. We encourage candidates who identify as People of Colour and Indigenous to apply, as well as those who belong to any other historically underrepresented group.

Brewery Trainee Interns work directly with our supply group, which is responsible for brewing, packaging, and shipping our iconic beer brands, including Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, and Corona. Our Brewery Trainee Interns can be on site in any of our brewery locations, including Halifax, London, Montreal, Edmonton, and Turning Point.

    The Supply Chain Trainee Internship is an intensive program designed for those with a strong interest in supply chain, operations, and problem-solving. Our leaders in corporate logistics will teach you how to manage production, including:

       • Ideal shipment techniques Our Supply Chain Trainee Interns can be on site at any of our distribution locations, including Mississauga and Montreal.

An internship in sales could include placements in commercial finance, revenue management, sales intelligence, or trade marketing. By the end of the internship, you’ll understand what it takes to sell beer at Labatt.

    As a Marketing Trainee Intern, you’ll be exposed to all areas of our marketing team including insights, brand marketing, connections, and trade marketing. In this program, you’ll meet key marketing leaders who guide our teams in elevating and deepening the consumer experience with our brands, including the likes of Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, Goose Island, and Corona.

    The People Trainee Internship is an intensive program for those with a keen interest in pursuing a career in our forward-thinking, innovative People (HR) department. In this program, you will collaborate with and contribute to all sides of our people department, including talent attraction, talent management, rewards, and labour relations.

    The Technology Trainee Internship is a comprehensive program designed for those with a strong technical acumen. As part of the business services team, you will gain valuable experience working with our order-to-cash, IT, logistics, people support, and account to report teams. 

    The Corporate Affairs Trainee Internship is ideal for students with an interest in helping to build long-lasting, impactful partnerships with community, business, and government leaders across the country. Interns will learn about the importance of corporate reputation, our Better World social responsibility programs, and the key role those programs and our community partnerships play in building and maintaining our reputation. Some interns may have the opportunity to join Labatt in a full-time role or a spot in one of our talent programs.

    Labatt’s Professional Experience Year programs are 16-month internships across different areas of Labatt’s business, including sales intelligence, revenue management, trade marketing, and logistics. These internships are typically for students who are pursuing a co-op program at university and most often take place in between students’ third and fourth undergraduate years beginning in May. The program encourages students to apply what they’re learning at university to real-world challenges and situations. Applicants must work well in teams and have the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.

     

    Other necessary skills include excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills, as well as business acumen, strategic thinking capabilities, and an eagerness to tackle challenging projects. Students pursuing a business degree are preferred, however those in other programs are also welcome to apply.
